You can witness spectacular panorama of the bays from historical Point Amour lighthouse, the tallest in Atlantic Canada, it provides an excellent vantage point for observing whales, sea birds and other marine life. You’ll also find a few exceptionally good trails in the region, L’Anse-Meadows National Historic Park and Red Bay, the first major industrial complex of the New World and home to a 16th century Basque-whaling station. Check out the Aurora Borealis beautiful white, green, yellow and red colors, shapes and movements of the Northern Lights, frequently admired in the Labrador Straits during fall and winter.
