B&B Location

The Barachois (Bar-a-shwa) Inn is a Five Star Inn that resides in a Victorian Country House originally built in 1880. It still reflects the luxurious detail of an elegant era gone past. The property houses two buildings that offer five star rooms and executive suites, these are the new MacDonald House and the historic Gallant House.

Our adjacent MacDonald House offers an exercise room, sauna and meeting rooms, making the Barachois Inn the clear choice for executive retreats, intimate gatherings, and small weddings (30 to 35 people).

Meals

Every morning between 8:00 - 9:30 AM we offer our guest a great Breakfas. We have a choice of dishes to offer which we are sure will suit anyone's needs. What a better way to begin a day than a good hot breakfast with interesting conversation. We can arrange all the other meals of your day and you may choose between our dining room, which serves traditional Island fare, or any of the fine establishments near by. Criticaly acclaimed Dayboat Restaurant is within minutes and is a top Island destination for fresh seafood and seasonal cuisine. The Olde Mill Restaurant is also close to the Inn and offers wonderful variety of dining and a beatiful view over the Wheatley River.

Sports

Enjoy an evening walk on the Gulf shore or curl up with a book in the living room. Golfing, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, swimming, wind-surfing, tennis, hiking, biking, craft shops, theatre and excellent dining are all nearby.
