General Description
Quiet forest, private entrance B&B in the heart of Canmore. Our Bed and Breakfast is centrally located accommodation for the Banff National Park, Lake Louise, Kananaskis recreation areas. The Canadian Rocky Mountains offer a wide variety of activities and you are invited to our peaceful retreat style Bed & Breakfast nestled in the trees. After an active day take a refreshing wet steam in your room, then walk 3 minutes to Canmore's downtown restaurants and shops or instead relax with a quiet stroll along the Bow River walking trail . We hope our name has created an interest to stay with us. We are Valerie and Bob Knowlden , your hosts and founders of canadianartisans.ca. As the name implies, we have designed and built everything ourselves. We take pleasure in creating every detail from stained glass to hidden dragons. The Bed and Breakfast is a separate suite attached to our house via the sun room dining area. The upper honeymoon Treehouse suite is a post beam structure, sunlit by eight full length windows with a double steam shower. The suite offers a private entrance and ensuite, a Queen size bed, VCR, gas fireplace and bar fridge. Bob has transformed the greenhouse into the Dining Room and we have now built a quiet Veranda for relaxation. The building incorporates new technology, like the sophisticated air exchange system, but does not forsake simple caretaker values. We use cleaning products in harmony with nature and good health. The experience of Nature here will explain more clearly what words cannot. We look forward to meeting you.
