General Description
New Glasgow Inn, located in New Glasgow, PEI, is an impressive three storey heritage home, overlooking the River Clyde and the picturesque rolling countryside, ten minutes south of Cavendish. A short walk will find you at the Toy Factory, the New Glasgow Lobster Suppers, the Preserve Factory, Olde Mill Restaurant, the Painted Cottage and Glasgow Hills Golf Resort.

The original home has been lovingly restored and renovated, and welcomes you with four star Canada Select amenities. Our location in Anne's land provides you with a great starting point to Island explorations.

The centre hall, with the original walnut staircase, opens on either side to two tastefully appointed public rooms. All of the spruce floors are newly restored to a soft sheen and accented by Persian carpets.

The Library, with a large bay window, is warmly decorated with Tartan and Tweed wall-coverings. Two large tufted leather chairs and an old fashioned fainting couch invite you to lounge with a book, or to enjoy a movie from our small collection of video tapes.

Across the hall the Parlor is elegantly decorated in shades of green and ivory, enhancing the deep luster of the green marble fireplace. Asian articles provide points of interest, as you sink into the comfortable sofa and armchairs.

The cozy Dining Room, furnished with Victorian touches, opens to the bright and airy fully enclosed sun room, where breakfast can be enjoyed. At other times refreshments can be taken, while appreciating the wonderful view of the river and the fifteenth green of the adjacent golf course.

You will also be sure to enjoy the old fashioned verandah, complete with wicker furniture and flowering plants. Upon your arrival, let us welcome you with a cool glass of lemonade and cookies on the Veranda.

We can also offer you beach chairs and towels should you like to spend a few hours down on the beautiful Cavendish beaches.

Four Spacious bright bedrooms are found on the second floor. Each has a ceiling fan, and a three piece ensuite.

Two of the rooms feature large bay windows with cozy seating arrangements. Queen or twin beds are featured in the charmingly decorated rooms.

The large hallway provides a gathering place with a wonderful view of the rolling hills and river. A small TV and VCR is there for you to catch up on the news, or to have a quiet moment with a video.

Terry cloth robes and hair dryers are provided for your convenience during your stay

We even have a golf room overlooking the 15th tee of the Glasgow Hills Golf Resort
