ABOUT US
Kim D'Amore, owner and operator of the Nisbet Inn was born and raised in Coventry England.

Kim spent two years working in France and Switzerland for a private family as a cook before immigrating to Canada with her family.

In Canada, she worked in the hospitality industry in several positions; but predominatly as a restaurant manager for fifteen years.

Kim purchased "131 Elliot St." with her sister Lynne, and both girls spent the next eight years tirelessly renovating the building which was a derelict shell when they found it.

In May 1996 the Inn offically opened for business. At this time Lynne and her family relocated with a job transfer.

Kim is married and has three daughters. She credits her family in particular her mom and husband, for helping make the Inn the success it is today.

Review Featured in Biz X Magazine November 2001

There was no need for our judges to debate a winner in this category either. The Nisbet Inn won hands down. "My family and I go there on a regular basis and always enjoy the food, served by friendly and efficient staff," writes Katherine Roberts. Other readers toast the imported beers and Yorkshire pudding dinner. Another reader describes it as a great place to relax and unwind: "In the winter you can eat by the fireplace. In the summer have a drink in the garden area or on the patio." Owner Kim D'Amore has created a cosy, casual, friendly atmosphere that is inviting to the entire family and much appreciated by bed & breakfast guests
