Welcome to The Regent The Regent Bed & Breakfast is located in Amherst, Nova Scotia and is one of the many large Victorian period homes for which Amherst is well known. Built in 1898, this beautiful Georgian house has long been admired in the area. The home's exquisite ornate wood trim is particularly eye-catching. With The Regent, Holly and Robert Faulkner have created an elegant sanctuary and romantic retreat for people looking to take a short break from the demands of family life, get away from work stress, or have an adventure exploring this captivating area of Nova Scotia. The Faulkners have carefully furnished each room with items that reflect the spirit and heritage of this great home. The Regent offers a unique historical flavour with its four guest rooms - each room is named after one of the four Fathers of Confederation from the Amherst area. All guest rooms feature an ensuite bath, air conditioning, colour TV/VCR, and high-speed internet access. A typical breakfast at The Regent consists of fruit juices, home-made breads and muffins, pancakes with blueberry sauce and maple syrup (from local producers!), sausage, coffee or tea, fruit cocktail and sweet bread. The Regent is pleased to exhibit paintings by local artists throughout the house. These works change regularly and all are for sale by the artists. The Regent Bed & Breakfast is open year-round.
