Welcome to Thyme Away Bed and Breakfast, a Vancouver Island B&B located in the Coombs/ Parksville/ Qualicum Beach area in Central Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Located midway between Tofino and Victoria this peaceful countryside B&B offers you a charming vacation rental cottage and two lovely B&B rooms in the main house. Be our Guest….experience a peaceful retreat on five pastoral acres with mountain views. The only traffic flow here are the birds to the feeders and the occasional parade of deer through the meadows . Curl up with a book in one of the rocking chairs on the sundeck, or go for a relaxing swim in the pool. Bike or walk to Coombs , a popular tourist destination famous for it's "Goats on the Roof Market; a busy roadside market with Real goats grazing on the sod roof! Treat yourself to one of their giant ice cream cones and explore the unique shops and antique stores. Coombs is just over one mile away, on highway 4A , Parksville and Qualicum Beach are a 10 minute drive. Guests at Thyme Away can stay in our self catered Carriage House Cottage , a favorite for our visitors who want more space and privacy. We offer two B&B rooms in the Main house. Each room is tastefully decorated and has comfortable Queen size beds, soft linens and cozy duvets. For our B&B guests, a delicious breakfast is served in the dining room, or weather permitting, on the sun deck. For our guests staying in the Carriage House breakfast is available upon request . Delicious full breakfasts are served using fresh farm eggs, herbs and berries from our garden. Go for a nature walk at Englishman River Falls, Qualicum Falls or Cathederal Grove, an Old Growth Forest. The beaches, golf courses, shopping and restaurants are just minutes away. Caving at Horne Lake, Riding at Arbutus Meadows, and a great petting farm at Tiger Lily Farm are just a few of the outdoor activities. We have a kayak store, rental and guide close by for those guests who want to try kayaking for the first time, or for the seasoned Kayaker.
