A visit to Cobourg shouldn’t go amiss, the town is steeped with historic landmarks and it has one of the best waterfronts in the region with a harbourfront walkway.

There is a full service marina and a remarkable boardwalk right next to the beach. The marina is the envy of boaters everywhere, one of the finest facilities of its kind on Lake Ontario providing excellent fishing charters. The adjacent Victoria Park also offers a children's wading pool, an outdoor pool, playgrounds, miniature golf and a lawn bowling green.
Other attractions include the Cobourg Highland Games, the longest running special event, where you can celebrate Scottish Heritage. Enjoy the Massed Bands, Highland Dancing, Heavy Events and a great gathering of the Clans. The Highland and Irish dancers, Celtic entertainers and Medieval Knights will amaze you, prod your way through the little quaint shops in historic downtown streetscape and you’ll find a wonderful eclectic mix of antiques and decor boutiques. Tour the Northumberland Forest Bird Watchers, this amazing forest is a special bird sanctuary or drive along the Apple Route through pleasant orchards and friendly towns and villages dotted along the way, follow the signs along Heritage Highway 2 and "spurs" to the scenic Presqu'ile Park near Brighton.
